The smaller suburb ones around here are really good too. Actually they tend to have more local artists and local art appreciators rather than like bank sponsors and basic pride merch. Not that clacky fans dont absolutely rule but .. yk...

Art fairs, there's a flea market in Royal oak farmers market barn that i think a good artist booth could set up in. A booth at all the local prides would do well for sure for your stuff.

Its kinda funny, i spent all the time giving cred to the ponies that made bases and art i used for references, even Hasbro. But i forgot to credit Bethesda and other game developers. Guess that shows my priorities. (Not a gamer)
