What is this right-wing garbage doing in The New Yorker? Are you now going the way of The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The New York Times and even The Atlantic?

I can't believe that this article does not mention that Taco Bell is owned by the same company. Not only is it not a "competitor" but the two restaurants are very frequently co-located.

"The Mexican fast food giant" Yet another in the series of awful headlines by the Post's awful headline writer.

The New York Times ownership hasn't changed. It is the same family - the Sulzbergers - who have owned it for several generations. Bezos bought The Washington Post in 2013 but mostly left it alone until the last 4 years and especially the last year. Patrick Soon-Shiong bought The LA Times in 2018.

As several readers note, The New York Times has been starting to head in the same direction recently, though not nearly as far-gone. Much more concerning (than the New York Times, but equal to The Washington Post) is what is happening at The Los Angeles Times under owner Patrick Soon-Shiong.
