TRAINING SHIRKED MOTOR CYCLING AND DANCING BLAMED (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT) CHELTENHAM, Wednesday Motor cycling and dancing were blamed at the final session of the National Federation of Meat Traders' Association conference here to-day for the disinclination of many young men to set their minds on their profession. "The two great factors operating strongly against the progress of technical education to-day are motor cycles and the boom in dancing," said Alderman Wyles, vice-chairman of the Coventry Education Committee, during a discussion on the training of butchers. --Plymouth Western Morning News, 15 Sep 1927.
