You should! Especially during the summer lol. I'd be curious to see your take on the similarities and differences from the NE/South. The biggest complaint I've heard from outsiders that moved here is it's tough to make friends because we are friendly but cliquey with the people we grew up with.

Interesting read and well done. As an American from Minnesota who has only been to New York for a weekend, it was interesting how foreign most of that sounded to me. Not sure if you made it to the Midwest or not. The football bit is egregious.
