I suppose the W114/W115 was one of the firsts Mercedes-benz to get a significative facelift in 1973 : lower bonnet-line, lower/broader grill, single front bumper to replace the double bumpers (6 cyl), lower headlamps, removal of front doors quarter-windows, ribbed tail lights, larger side mirrors.

Maybe (hopefully) the red background will not be retained
