...and meditation gardens, small shops, large businesses—are just gone. We've taken in a couple people (and their kitties), as have many of our neighbours, and the overwhelming feeling is a mixture of relief and gratitude. If you feel you want to make any kind of donation...3/4

...and the fire crews, power/water folks and debris-clearers have more of a chance to do their amazing work. Above that evacuation line, it's basically a shitshow. So many landmarks familiar to me—houses, schools, historical buildings, houses of worship...2/4
