Nerd fact (I’m a marine biologist after all), when luciferin and luciferase (gotta love the biblical names) join together, they react with the oxygen in the air to make an oxidised complex. After that, luciferin emits a photon, and that is what you see when it breaks

With decolonization sweeping Africa and Asia, the optics of the world's triumphant democracy holding on to its possessions would have been abysmal.

Images are worth 1000 words. This is “literally” living with sea level rise at your doorsteps. If it was king high tide my feet will in the water… at least here in Kosrae they can retreat to the hillsides… atolls don’t have that option.

AoNZ's only general strike was in 1979, when Muldoon (National Party) wasPM, it involved aroud 300000 people. The fact that it took 46 years for the next one tells me how patient new zealenders are with their goverments (both main parties), and how piss off they really are with the present.

Yes… but I rather have my taxes going into supporting someone into work (even if some fail) that into subsidising landlords. Please quit and go back to selling deodorant brands
