April 28, 1945, “Il Duce,” Benito Mussolini, and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were shot by Italian partisans. The figurehead of a puppet goverment tried to cross the Swiss border disguised. In a convoy near Lake Como, guards recognized them, they were shot, taken to Milan, hung, displayed publicly.

I would say due to its temporal nature. It is the internal dialogue of several humans thinking on their own or reacting to situations. Some also could have been spoken to others. There were other examples of sentences projected there during our stay.
