Last year I talked to 17 people with cancer (now or in the past) for this project. Every time I look at it I feel pain.
The pain of cancer treatment and the difference in who you are afterward cannot be understated. I made this piece to give voice to some of those experiences together.

I have the flu and I am very thankful for my puppy who never leaves my side. He is 14 years old and he is the best crotchety old man ever.

This doesn’t look like much but it’s everything: my palate cleanser after a year of making art about cancer. I’m doing a run of toddler dresses and button downs in mixed florals and I’m so excited to just live and breathe color for a while.
