What could Bernie do against the cops? They listen to the venue, not him. He could have acknowledged it, sure, but is it also not just rude to interrupt a speech from one of the few politicians who agrees and votes against Israel?

2/ When they proposed policies and action for the benefit of the people, they didn't mean everyone - they meant only healthy, Aryan Germans. Which is not what actual socialism is, and why actual socialists were sent to the camps with all the other "enemy" groups.

They definitely used populist tactics to appeal to as many people as possible, but that as well as using some socialist language was a front. The actual ideologies and end goals were not remotely socialist or in the interests of the people at large. 1/
