Happy New Year everyone!

As a New Year resolution, I'll be more active on the social networks that are more positive for myself, so here is my first post of the 2025 😄

Let’s hope the inevitable, let’s say, “trashification” of Bluesky takes some time (even when already crypto, scam and other such type of accounts are already appearing…)

Bluesky is getting momentum. Besides the early adopters, seeing more traditional news outlets and, even better, academics outside Twitter, is making it worth it to revive my account. But I can’t help but feel that is too little, too late, that this migration would’ve mitigated the harm done by Musk

More academics should follow this example and ditch Twitter (never going to call it X), more so if you care about supoorting democracy. Bluesky may not be the final answer, but it's a start.

Just to signal my presence. I will not longer post at X.

The situation in #ElSalvador has been serious for a long time, however new lines are always crossed or new milestones are set on the road to totalitarian authoritarianism. The political scientist Manuel Alcántara, together with other experts will talk about this in a few minutes(highly recommended):
