Personally I've been enjoying the game largely in spite of the core mechanics. The core part of it seems like either the rng screws you over or you're heading off to infinite land with nothing much between.

One of those cases where the novels are kind of a slog (the author is way too into the conlang he's created) but the show created from it is great.

The Xbox strategy always was to buy all the devs but with the Actiblizz merger I think the suits above really started caring about recouping the costs, which lead to this.

My review of it wasn't all that glowing but I also admit I'm not a big metroidvania head. I did appreciate what it was trying to do with the canon though.

I admit I wasn't even alive then, by the time I was old enough to use a computer (during the A500/ST era), these were museum pieces basically by then.

1981 was an excellent year to not realize how awful the membrane keyboards of that era were.

I mean, we do of course have Nintendo who just released a Switch 2 with good sales but I do feel even there a lot of people are putting it off while waiting for some flagship titles to arrive
