Most people are not democrats either, Universal health care, public housing, free college all have higher favorability ratings than the democratic party. And given that the democratic party lost to trump you would think you would want to do reflection and try things other than sucking up to ceo $$$

The minority party does not have "no" power. They have the power to withhold procedural votes to cause the majority to use difficult maneuvers to execute legislation. Another thing a civics class might have taught you

The ACA is a fine law that is demonstrably to the right of richard Nixon's health care bill like that's just a fact. I didn't say it was bad, but ignoring this fact is part of why people hate corporate dems.

Do you realize that the republicans have a trifecta of power. I dont care liberal or moderate or progressive i care about regaining power to protect marginalized groups and the current dnc playbook is not doing it.

Yeah you are right the DNC can ignore popular winning progressives and keep putting up moderates who the public hates and it will have no repercussions and they will start winning elections. If its not broke why fix it.

Yeah he is, he is a prominent democrat who lost the primary and decided that he knows better than the voters and the party as a whole seems okay with it. Otherwise his former party endorsers would pull their support and endorse the party's nominee which they have not done.

His opponent a prominent new york democrat who lost the primary. If a progressive democrat lost a primary against a centerist dem and then decided to go the independent route in the general it would be everyone coming out of the woodwork to talk about vote blue no matter who.
