So I've started a new crochet 🧶 project using this.

Since this was spun and dyed by a rural woman, I figured I'd keep the trend and for the contrast stitch I used a nice green yarn from the co-op Manos del Uruguay.

Keeping it rural and empowering women in rural areas.

I am spending time in regional Victoria for the long weekend, and decided to head to the local farmers market before brunch.

Practical crochet 🧶 project complete!

I learnt some lessons when making the mesh panel (making accidental triangles instead of squares 😅).

Only 2 months in and I'm starting to appreciate the patience needed.

4.5mm hook + 400m 8ply cotton.

Tonight's crochet practice before I make it smaller. Good repeatable pattern. Came out well ☺️

But then I discovered motifs and #microcrochet and I started to shrink. I think so far its going well!

Moved from 2mm hook + 4ply crochet thread to 1.5 hook + embroidery thread to 1mm hook + 60wt cotton, with last nights effort at 0.5mm hook + cotton sewing thread.
