Someone on Quora stated that Cleopatra was African American and asked why people get angry about this if, according to the poster, there's no evidence of how she looks. In reality, Cleopatra was not American (as it hadn't been discovered yet) nor African in any way. She was the daughter of Ptolemy XII and all their family comes from Macedonia, so she's of European (more specifically Greek) descendancy and several descriptions of her at the time match the typical appearance of Greek people at the time.
