Weather permitting Little Island on the Far West Side is worth checking out followed by a walk along The High Line through Chelsea. Great sushi spot Momoya on 21st and 7th could be a pitstop destination.

I got tons of recommendations as a home grown New Yorker now living in Brooklyn. As soon as you wake up, sure you’ll be looking to get out of Times Square.

Explore the South street seaport and Chinatown area. Get some steps in a great food at Scarr’s (pizza) or Hwa Yuan (Szechuan)… take the ferry past the Statue of Liberty to Brooklyn Bridge Park and explore. Energy permitting walk back over to Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan.
