I don’t think he impedes the keeper at all, he’s a bit too offset there to have any effect but based on how the rest of the game has gone didn’t make a difference 😅

Yeah I was WC8 and that’s why I didn’t go triple defense, Gabriel and Timber plus Saka seemed like the move but I feel like the CS are just unreal rn

He’s the engine for Liverpool rn in the middle and if he does play the odd game at RB at least he’ll get defcon there hahah

For the most part true, but fixtures and home/away also enter into that calculation, especially with multiple premiums or at different points in the season it could be viable to go no Haaland/Salah and spread those funds around

Even this season, if Haaland were to be injured rn there’s not a clear-cut second choice as it stands so my idea probably wouldn’t hold much weight in that scenario other than encouraging people to choose different captains each week to increase their max bonus from captaining

Well to have that team structure you’d probably need to make a lot of compromises elsewhere that weaken your team, not sure where gambling came from tbh but that’s just a red herring

I think the suggestion I had makes it a bit more interesting though than just riding the hot hand when someone’s really tearing it up - you still can, and still get rewarded, but like in this case that differential captain would then pay off which I think makes it more fun and adds options

From that perspective though why have any chips or even have a captain at all?

I think this is better than a limit because it actively rewards being differential with your captain and if Haaland for example is just crushing it every week then 10 becoming 15 instead of 20 could still be viable and it doesn’t take away the option but if you go differential and tie you then win

I think that’s kinda lame tbh, if someone’s really crushing it you should still be able to play them as your captain every week but maybe this would make it a tougher choice
