Finally got around to making a concept for Umbreon Polaris :3
He has a massive tail maw that’s named Ursa :3
And he’s poisonous with a special blue raspberry poison that has some… fun effects~
Made it with a base I found online and edited (artist is the signature on the pic)

Curse Logistics Flow Chart (Simplified)
[Curse Activates] -> Converts non-cursed blood to magic
Without blood, then life is converted to magic, causing fatigue and eventually death without blood being drank.
All magic goes to perpetuate the curse.

Curses (TYPICALLY) follow biological time rather than absolute time.
Why? Absolute time requires the curse to interact with THE UNIVERSE (expensive!!!).
(being frozen or petrified would "pause" the curse in this scenario)

Could a curse not "stockpile" magic?
Magic as a source of energy would follow conservation of energy!

Therefore, to output the effects of a curse, there is an initial cost that behaves as a "down payment" or buffer before it expires.
A well designed curse is like a perpetual motion machine which feeds itself for a theoretical infinite amount of time. (A poorly designed curse would last as little as seconds!)

How To Curse Part 1
You are either altering a NATURAL PHE-
NOMENON or creating your OWN to serve
as a curse's foundation.
It is cheaper to build upon or alter a pre-
existing phenomenon (which is how curses
are usually broken) but to create your own
offers a wider range of versatility.
Cursing on behalf of a higher power would
be an alteration/offshoot of a foundation
and tend to be limited to a finite duration
with a strict cut off point to the budget.
Altering a natural phenomenon is a very
easy way to incur the wrath of fae.
Creating a unique curse is easiest when
applied to an object to trigger on activation;
You can adjust the "code" of your curse
as much as you want before it goes off as
