I had a fine meal in the Skirrid Inn on 2 Oct and they were serving local Wye Valley Butty Bach & HPA.
Very nice too and busy for a Thursday night. Didn’t see any ghosts though

I’ve read that the LP Siren is 50 years old today. I bought this the weekend it was released as a young teenager. Same day tried coffee and peanut butter for the first time. Loved all 3 ever since. #RoxyMusic #Siren

A fabulous collection it took me a while to gather together all the LPs. I also bought the CD box set with its great booklet - very good value. The first 4 releases will be 50 years old this December!

Here’s his grave at St Katharine’s Church at Felton near where he lived at Lulsgate, Bristol. He was the first world championship driver to die, just a couple of months after the first race. He crashed while at the wheel of this Freikaiserwagen showing the family name Fry on the grill.

Unsurprisingly he had engine issues in this 110 lap race. He also wrote this book on Olympic Coins!
