What do people even put in these things anyways?
I'm hopeful that you're wrong, but I think conversations like these where people on opposite sides talk to each other, without insults or name-calling, demonstrate that it's possible.

Who knows, maybe more will follow suit.

Has this not been one such discussion?
November 18, 2024 at 8:44 AM
Oh, I don't disagree that you can't reach the average American with reason at this point. That much is plainly evident.

I'm just making an observation of why that is and why I think the DNC needs to try a new strategy.

Is it arrogance or is it mere statement of a fact?

How many Americans were quick to dismiss these kinds of statements on the gut feeling that he might do better for the economy than Harris?
November 18, 2024 at 8:10 AM
Maybe.
November 18, 2024 at 8:02 AM
Have you heard of Judicial Review?
November 18, 2024 at 7:58 AM
I don't think it fully flipped; I think it just petered out.

But if I had to guess, it's due to economics and a lack of concern about politics by your average American. They don't care about somebody saying something like that, because they don't fully appreciate how dangerous it is.

I mean, you're a self-professed Constitutionalist, are you not?
November 18, 2024 at 7:56 AM
Point being, we do use democratic process. Isn't that important?
November 18, 2024 at 7:54 AM
See, this is what I'm talking about though.

How can you, in good faith, endorse a candidate like that, even if he can't actually enact it?
November 18, 2024 at 7:51 AM
Have a good night.
November 18, 2024 at 7:50 AM
I'm asking for polls from this election that can contradict my, admittedly anecdotal, experience.

I'm not asking for historical results.
November 18, 2024 at 7:49 AM
Beautiful painting.
November 18, 2024 at 7:46 AM
What do you make of his "dictator day one" comment or his past calls to suspend the Constitution?
November 18, 2024 at 7:44 AM
And how does that show that the working class isn't voting for Trump?
November 18, 2024 at 7:43 AM
Well, if you can show me that the working close voted more for Biden than Trump with a poll result or something, that'd be fantastic.
November 18, 2024 at 7:39 AM
I think the DNC's got a real messaging problem and that became dreadfully apparent with a lot of younger men and Union members too. I'm not disputing that in the slightest.

However I do want to say though is that Trump has said some especially heinous things and it scares people.
November 18, 2024 at 7:35 AM
I also didn't say that. I said that the DNC is not appealing to the working people. There is a difference.
November 18, 2024 at 7:31 AM
Like we're doing right now, yes?
November 18, 2024 at 7:30 AM
I didn't criticize Biden's performance.
November 18, 2024 at 7:29 AM
I think this person has been perfectly civilized towards me thusfar and I see no reason not to return that same courtesy.
November 18, 2024 at 7:28 AM
I'm not disputing that there's a lot of misinformation going on, but what I am saying is that it's clearly quite effective.
