I left Duolingo when they set out in this direction. Language is the way humans communicate, and I want to learn from humans, by humans, about humans. AI should have no place in this as far as I'm concerner.

At the indie games exhibit at the MoPOP in Seattle, a kid next to me was watching a video of rigging up animations for a 2D character in some editor and said "That looks like I could make a character! I want to make a cool character too!"
That kid is going to grow up to make awesome games.
