Small choices, big impact! For one week, let’s consciously choose to support people & community over profits. March 7-14, let’s support local businesses (we have so many good ones!) use libraries, and encourage independent creatives & makers instead. Because together, we make the difference.

My big sister, the candle maker, has returned. This week my youngest will undergo a procedure you would think must be science fiction. He had such a strong 7 years, after a very grim prognosis, but the seizures are winning and this is our Hail Mary. I’m so glad my sister brings her light ❤️

Sent by a friend - if you are into planets & astrology - very interesting read (if not, skip it as too woo woo 🤣) As a Cancer myself, the last decade has been absolutely brutal - it would be great to move into a different cycle. www.vanityfair.com/news/2006/12...

Activist investors?!? - anyone see this being done in other fields? (environmental 🤞) this case has just moved to federal court - so many corporations seem to value shareholders profits over people. Go sisters! (This is an article about the original case) aoav.org.uk/2023/catholi...

Seeds sell out quick … so now is a great time to buy - I’m focusing on fillers this year - they really add to arrangements. Johnny’s is another one of my favorites with high germination rates & great free tools on their website to get you started - www.johnnyseeds.com

Life is chaotic - personally, publicly, globally. I’ve been organizing, assessing, decreasing the clutter. I finally have an empty space - after years of starting seeds on counters, the living room, the front hallway - I’m going to upgrade & give myself a real dedicated space ❤️ more to come … 🙃

Looking at possibly expanding the flock - we’ve had an Eglu forever - 8 full size hens is definitely the max, some of our older ladies are getting picked on. We may start a little bantam flock too (+ the granny chickens). Anyone have experience with these? nestera.us/products/chi...

More itty bitty little plants arriving in boxes. Spring seems so far off … here’s hoping I can carry them along until planting time - more perennials - my 2025 flower goals.

Some of these ladies are getting up there in years (pandemic chicks!) we are looking at adding a little color diversity back into our eggs - I’m hoping for Marans ❤️🤞

Attempting to keep these little plugs alive (but dormant) until spring arrives. The farm goal this year is to build up out perennial cut flower beds, and possibly make a return to some heavier vegetable gardening - this wild weather isn’t making it easy - stay tuned 🙃

It’s frigid here in Ohio. Freya (our outdoor cat) is on her outdoor heating pad in her house, the chickens are closed inside the coop (with some little bowls of fruit) and Bruno (our pig), is snug in the shed with a heated water dish & a heat lamp 🤞 dreaming of warmer days! ❤️
