This book was my bible as a child! Used to spend hours studying these illustrations. I do agree the originals were better but these ones are very nostalgic to me

I'm also more into the realistic side, but then I grew up preferring more realistic animal animation styles, such as Watership Down, Plague Dogs, Animals of Farthing Wood, Wind In The Willows (1995) and Peter Rabbit and Friends. Cartoons like that influenced me way more than stuff like Disney
