This is my opinion. Also people forget that a lot of people draw that kind of art to cope with trauma, even most therapists agree that "dark fiction/fantasy" can be very helpful to survivors.

Also things like BIID (body integrity identity disorder) exist and are also real diagnosis so imo if it helps someone feel better it's not really "faking" like people think.
