I keep finding more 😅

And I found more flutter ponies - one is missing her wings though.

Here's the rest of the round up.

Looks like it! Took her outside for a better photo.

@seananmcguire.bsky.social Hi! I picked up some nice ponies at a friend's sale - do you have a list of who you're still looking for?

@tkingfisher.com sometimes I'm in the store and just think, "Dang, I miss KUEC."

We just got back from a trip to Arizona, so I'm introducing our new petrified wood to the homegrown Mississippi stuff. (Not from the National Park! From one of the totally not shady dig your own places just outside the National Park.)

When you visit the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix and all you can think of is @tkingfisher.com 's
LJ posts from decades ago! The agave! The cacti!

We've been trying to figure out if there's any possibly of keeping a Palo Verde alive in MS - perhaps a bonsai with its own dehumidifier?

Oh, lovely! I miss the peonies we inherited at our Kansas house. I haven't tried to find what will grow in Mississippi for our current place yet.

We're catless, but Willow says hello!

But what if for dogs?

I found a photo from before we started training vines - regular 4x4 posts and trellis panels!

12 years later, one of the culprits got married. We left half full bottles of glitter in both their cars, but were magnanimous enough to not actually do it. (we all drive much nicer cars now than my poor grad school vehicle 🤣)

Looks like the AI just cribbed from this page in the stupidest way.

If you see this, post dog.

That looks delicious!

We usually use 100% cacao unless a recipe specifically calls for sweetened chocolate.

They're real cute little dirt and bug magnets at least.

A few more pages!

...

Reading this book again says some things about what was considered a normal family dynamic around my house.

Hey y'all, don't leave your youngest kid home alone and then blame them for stuff out of their control.

I have this book! It's the 1978 classic MacGoose's Grocery by Frank Asch & illustrated by James Marshall.

It's the story of a family of geese who run a grocery store, and one by one leave someone else in charge until it's just their egg. Guess who gets blamed for the weasels' mess?

My geologist FIL is laughing while teaching his grandkids to lick rocks. This is just the start of the collection at a recent family picnic.

Includes what now?

I am so stoked for lizard season. My 5yo is the best little spotter. This is a "stink" around here, and I'll be sad when the kids all learn to pronounce it correctly.

My closest rock is a pair near my sink - a fossil unearthed behind the Waffle House in Starkville, MS and a mystery specimen brought inside by a small child.
