Unpopular position: dislike 'spooky season' very much. Mostly because of loathing horror movies and horror in any genre. Life is filled with sufficient horror as it is.

TIL that the word oud is etymologically related to the Arabic word for wood, of which the oud is made. Wood, oud. Duh. Fes also introduced the world to the mathematical concept of zero via its university, but that’s another story.
