A little something for the twins´ birthday
Omi is whipped, he tries to hide it though
“I think I know where we’re goin´ Omi,” Atsumu tries to sound smug, but Kiyoomi hears the anticipation in his voice. “Is that so?” “´course!” Their entwined hands swing lightly between them. “I’d be a bad setter if I didn´ know exactly what’s goin´ on in that pretty head of yours, Omi-Omi.” “That this is your birthday and I cater to your likes has obviously nothing to do with it, I assume?” “Nope, nothing.” When they reach their destination and it’s Atsumu´s favourite patisserie, where Kiyoomi reserved a table for two for breakfast, Atsumu looks like a fox who got the cream. The season has not yet started, there’s nothing wrong with a little indulgence for one day. They order different baked goods and coffee and Atsumu is a little hung up when Kiyoomi tells him that’s enough. He’s a professional athlete after all, even on his birthday, and doesn’t need two different pieces of cake to go along with his pastries. Luckily the pout doesn’t last long. When their orders arrive Atsumu´s mood is great again. “We should’ve more birthdays, Omi,” he says around a mouthful of pancake and cream. Kiyoomi´s smile is fond, he tries to hide it behind a sip of coffee. “You only want to eat more sweets, Atsumu.” Atsumu tries to smile innocently, but his mouth is still too full or full again, Kiyoomi doesn’t know. The result is a grimace Kiyoomi would have loved to take a picture of to tease him with that later. Since it’s his birthday, Kiyoomi refrains, barely.

Osamu went silent for a couple minutes. Atsumu didn't see his face, but he was sure he was chewing on his lip, like he always did when deep in thought. Atsumu let him think this through, Osamu always needed just a little longer before he sprang into action. While Atsumu knew his brother was more than ready to do this, he needed to realize this himself, too. Sure, it may not be the standard way of doing things, but when have they ever been standard? When Osamu pressed play again, Atsumu knew, for the time being, Osamu was okay. Probably not fine, or good, or confident in his decision. But okay. And that, right now, he didn't want to talk about it any further. Nonetheless he stayed leaned against his shoulder. “Can´t believe ya bagged yerself a fuckin´ lawyer.” Atsumu rolled his eyes. “I didn't bag myself anybody.” “But ya want to.” And wasn't that- something.
