No sure how the actual fuck I’ve gotten tonight’s work on Baggu no.3 done without tangles given the number of ends and cables going everywhere. I also have the horrible feeling I’m not going to have enough yarn… but back at it

For those not familiar with interchangeable needles the bamboo bit is meant to be attached to the screw bit. I snapped it. While knitting the fucking toe - aka almost finished!!!!!!!!

My gamp is off the loom. Thinking cotton warp and silk weft scarves for my next maybe… although I have some very fine alpaca too…
Colour and weave gamp - different warp threading of black and white yarn are crossed by those same threadings in weft to make a map of what patterns emerge. In between sections is an orange border Silk, wool and linen weft samples woven on the same warp as my gamp. The red wool has given some surprising and gorgeous results.

1st outside meaning the year. It’s beautiful outside. Overcast now but still lovely and warm with a cool breeze.

We had a slow cooked lamb shoulder with Middle East influenced flavours and ingredients. Was goooooood!

Babies very first attempt at #embroidery. Baby being me. Not sure it’s the most successful patch of long and short stitch but it is a patch of embroidery and that is enough

Terrible photo. Rust colour is the inside and outside is grey. The bag is bigger than the pattern due to heavier yarn and bigger needles so I ran out of yarn to sew them together - I like the leather strap I’ve used though. It works. #baggu3 #knitting #handknit

I knit it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I love this. Dad and small are gaming, I’m knitting. Dinner is on and the weather is lovely (house trashed due to upcoming camping trip)

Od be lying if I said I wasn’t delighted with how this hand dyed yarn from fibres of the Yarra Valley is working up. Little Miss will be pleased methinks.

Very pleased with the result. I even wove my ends in properly.

Some nights I need to be kicked out of the house for my own good. So I’m sitting in a local restaurant with a cocktail and my knitting. It could be worse. The only downside is this place is getting rapidly busy
