I've been eating cold rice with mayo to afford a ticket to finally go see Karnivool live when they come near me. Desperate times need desperate measures :D But I need those small highlights to look forward to, pessimistic as I am, surely eventually things will get better..

Lastly I've done some game content creation, but lately massive technical issues made streaming barely possible (Streamlabs acting up). Now I just keep recording (German) stuff for my small YT channel. Definitely just an unpaying hobby and will stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Sadly bureaucracy and no references (because game release still pending) means no follow-up projects yet. Media Design job is also not looking great, when the quality standards have gotten so low that most firms are fine with cheap AI slop than paying for decent works. Dark times for creatives.

Tell me about it. Having had quite a rough patch myself (still do), but what else is there to do than pushing on through?

My highlight last year was finally fully translating an indie game I've followed for years and pledged back on their Kickstarter.

Heyo, yeah I've been mostly quiet on social media (other than YouTube or Discord) given the.. state of affairs.. & sadly missed out on contact with a couple of cool people I used to interact with before it all went down on Twitter. Good to see some found the way over here :] Hope you're doing well?!

Music was my main reason to even bother with such a kind of social media platform and I luckily got to connect with many awesome people.

I never want to get political online, always draws out the worst, but man is it grim what happened and is still happening.

At least Bluesky added account notifications in the meantime, so I can finally keep up to date more easily with those who migrated as well. Wish more people did, though. Many bands I listen to either stopped using Twitter couple years ago due to the shift or haven't yet created an account here.
