Last night was good. I remember when Essendon were basically football royalty, so I'll never see a 40+ point win over those fuckers as anything less than brilliant. Was it perfect football from us? No. But I like that there was a challenge. Some really good signs, especially for our squad depth.

Great win. I get that the Saints suck but it was a bit of a danger game all the same. Mannagh played close to his best game. Jezza was brilliant, especially early. Guthrie continues his defensive reliability. Holmes was elite. Great to see Tyson back.

Took the day off work to go to open training today with my 12yo and her mad friend. Huge turnout, kids everywhere. Mitch Duncan was in an arm sling but still got himself out there to run laps. He's the epitome of a club man. 🧵

Probably just a "get it done" sort of match. Huge gulf in class at the end of the day. I loved Guthrie's performance. I marvel at his inner strength, resilience and growth. He is such a great decision maker and is ultra consistent. It's a superstar backline all round for me.

Maybe there's context in the article but I give EXACTLY zero fucks about Derm's washing, faded glory days, commentary or anything at all. I'm surprised that he keeps getting wheeled out at all.

Last night was brilliant. The Cats were great. Managed to get all 4 of us to the game too, which is rare enough but seeing my 16yo old emo kiddo watching the entire match & loving it (for the first time despite having been a seated member since birth)was my highlight.
