Hero Quest is what got me into board games and ultimately Magic.

Yeah it took a while before I could get into TTS because I spend enough time on a computer already, but it's the best way to get games in and I've met great people through it.

It's not like MTG (yet) though. There isn't a well defined meta and lots of interesting deck brewing.
