Spent the last week in Hawaii and was so moved by how intentional they are about explaining to visitors how to help them take care of these beautiful islands. Care for nature felt very ingrained into our experience. Loved this, especially as an example for my kids.

My 9 year old has done countless school reports on turtles, and being with him as he looked in wonder at these giant creatures in the wild was balm for my soul.

Not ideal for skiing, but still beautiful!

When my children were small we often read the delightful book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen. To this day I find myself repeating its core rhyme during difficult times - “Can’t go over it. Can’t go under it. Oh no! We’ve got to go through it.” It’s one of life’s hardest lessons…

Got to Chicago just in time for the first snow of the season. Will always love the magic of the first snow. This will likely be gone by morning. ❄️💙❄️
