Playing around with some shots I passed over from the past 12 months. When I switched from my previous full frame system to OM, I had planned to focus on macro. But, with 600-800mm equivalent focal lengths at a fraction of the weight it's hard not to enjoy birds and wildlife with M4/3.

Of all the little twists evolution spits out, I find mimicry in all its various forms the most fascinating. Here's a tiny ant mimic jumping spider. What's your favourite mimic?

I spent some time with one of my favourite jumping spiders last week. The Servaea incana AKA the Giant bark jumping spider, such curious and chonky spiders.

I am very much the same with our White faced herons here. They are pretty special birds though.
