I got to bring 4 amazing students to MPSA to present their research- this is the part of research that I think is fun!

I'm very impressed by my students who successfully presented their research at the AR PoliSci Assoc Conference this weekend.

Their projects emanate from the State Party Platform Research Group - experiential learning is the best way to learn the research process... just jump in!

This is NOT the most important thing here, but I'm going to go mad having to see another 4 years of this random capitalization. Every time, it's like a tiny poke in the eye.

I'm a bit offended by the stream of ads for things to boost productivity, as if my goal in life should be wringing more work out of myself for no discernable payoff. I'm plenty productive & just want to dig in my garden & cuddle w/⬇️. The only thing I'm looking to maximize is happiness #academicsky

I am trying to make some progress on spring course prep, but LuciPurr is interfering in the most adorable manner. I'm likely to edit the entire AmGov syllabus w/ 1 hand before disturbing the kitten.

My vegetable garden is winding down for the year - just some late peppers coming in & birdhouse gourds & luffa waiting to dry on the vine - but the flowers scattered throughout the garden are still attracting visitors.

My office mates are just too cute.

Transitioning into the fall semester is difficult when the garden is still in full bloom & the office is 80 degrees.

I adopted a kitten in mid-December & she's settling in well.

My dog got a kitten for 🎄 & it's going well - Izzie & Luci-Purr

Been a while since I've been to a conference w/ swag - polisci is looking dim. The session for new prelaw advisors begins shortly & we'll see how well I've been winging it. #mapla
