Don't buy from a backyard breeder. Poor Oliver has no surgical options that will allow him to defecate normally. He has genetic megacolon and wears a diaper because he constantly leaks stool. He's a handsome devil but breeding for looks and not health is bad.

COVID and flu vaccines done! Get them now. I remember each and every person I took care of as a hospice physician who had COVID or the flu what they needed to be comfortable at the end of life. Perhaps Mr. Kennedy would like to join me at bedside for our next pandemic

Little Reed the senior doxie. Rushed him to the Vet ER last week and am so happy to have him home feeling better. These Oldsters steal your heart. He had respiratory issues that were a mystery. Science and vet medicine always looks for answers to make life better. Wish others understood that

And on a happy note Callie was adopted yesterday by a family that had adopted a cardiac dog from me who was one of the sweetest schnoodles ever. Callie is such a lucky girl!

Welcome to the pack Pippin. Pippin came from a SW Virginia shelter where she had been dropped off by a family that didn't want her. She's an older gal at 10yo. Economic stress results in animal homelessness and now in SW Virginia the need is great. No evidence it will get better in the future
