Asia was running late, she paid Kid #1 to grab Clemmie off the bus (I’m teaching st the college today) and I HELD MY BREATH. Those 2 can fight over anything and if Clem refused to go inside the apartment I pictured them duking it out. But they did it. Asia arrived 15 minutes later. It’s a big day.

After several months of soul searching, I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone and go full-time into private practice. I have a full case load and I get to be home with the girls.

The girls REALLY want to stay home when school is out but I still have to work. However, neither can resist the urge to interrupt me when I’m with a client, which of course is unacceptable. So behold, the door lock that they can’t pick open with a butter knife. ❤️ it’s worked for several weeks now.

After lots of contemplation, I’m letting Kid #1 wear those caterpillar lashes all the teens are wearing. I grew-up w/my mom slowing me down from shaving my legs, make/up, etc. But I had to remind myself- lashes & make/up don’t make kids sex workers- broken, abusive homes do.
We’ll laugh in 20 yrs.
