There was a devastating fire
in my community today, displacing thirteen families. Seventeen volunteer fire departments fought the fire. A local restaurant owner posted online that meals are
free for the next few weeks for all impacted families and first responders.
Good still exists in our world.

My twins (8) are picking wild strawberries in the yard.
I said not to pick any that squirrels peed on and 9!3 asked how to tell.
“Lick them and see if they taste like pee.”
They looked at each other for a few seconds, processing. Then one declared, “squirrels don’t pee.”

My twin daughters are preparing for their first Holy Communion so they were encouraged to give-up something for Lent. Lucy gave up tacos. Beth gave up lullabies. 😢

I played Dungeons & Dragons today for the first time in 34 years. I thought it would just be a planning session (apparently now called session zero). But then we got in to it and played for six hours. It was the most fun I’ve had clothed in years.
