Scanning the horror genre, M3GAN is still processing to form an identity of her own. While there were enhancements in ‘maturity’, the bug for ‘overall tone’ remains. When the story isn’t tethered to real world implications (with overly optimistic ethics) it’s a fun wild ride 💦 #M3GAN2

I don’t think I’ve felt as much as I’ve felt watching the first season finale of Big Boys. It is Queer led and my life experiences/emotional journey overlap with the straight white man lol but that’s the beauty of storytelling. Sorting our schedule so we can fit a full review 🤎

I nearly walked out of “The Unbreakable Boy”. Its portrayal of autism is one-dimensional, presents the idea that an autistic child is the worst thing that can happen in a marriage, and makes its titular character a supporting player to his unlikable parents. I found this insulting.

If it’s one thing the FYR household appreciate, it’s filmmakers that are real and raw. Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X were tough films to follow but Bamboozled will continue to get praise from us for years to come.

If it’s one thing the FYR household appreciate, it’s filmmakers that are real and raw. Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X were tough films to follow but Bamboozled will continue to get praise from us for years to come.
