I feel a little like I’m posting into the void here, but I’m going to try to be better about it! Anyway, ~24 hours later, some post-Tonys thoughts + also here is everything I saw this season that was eligible. Yes, I saw Once Upon a Mattress at City Center but I’m counting it.

For plays, it’s The Hills of California for me, but John Proctor is the Villain was incredible and I’ll be thinking about what Sarah Snook did in Dorian Gray for a long time. And I don’t think I laughed as hard in the theater all season as I did during Eureka Day, which is my pick for best revival.

For musicals, Operation Mincemeat snuck in at the end and took my top spot, with Death Becomes Her and Maybe Happy Ending as my other favorites. And for revivals, it was always Gypsy for me.

Little weekend roundup. Important to embrace joy and the good things in life amidst everything going on right now.

I’ve gone on a few runs in DC recently, and while I love running along the mall and feel inspired by it despite (or because of) what’s going on in government, the thing that’s caught my eye is this building across the street from SCOTUS.

In addition to *gestures broadly* everything, I should be in Florida for my favorite race weekend. Instead, I got to run in feels like 7 degree temps this morning. Insult to injury, etc.

I’m not doing a really good job of Posting Things here, but things feel bleak right now so I figured I’d start sharing some good things about life lately. For me, that’s been kicking off London marathon training at Walt Disney World a few weeks ago, and getting to enjoy some theater

2024 reading recap! I read 100 books this year, and honestly struggled to put together my top ten list because very few things stood out to me. By my standards, I barely read anything between July and November, but I managed to pick it up in December and finish on a more positive note.
