There exists a sort of tax in well-educated circles where when someone talks about some things they have to say 'that's cringe' or 'that's gross' or people direct their disgust at the speaker.

In the long-term, one of the best ways to grow a social niche is to be against that niche.

Perhaps my most Marxist opinion is that gis in BJJ and boxing gloves in boxing are classist.

The price of a gaming PC is about the same as a single illustration from a good illustrator.

The price of DJI Phantom 3 with a grenade is significantly less than the price of a soldier.

What else is like this?

There is a feeling Vivek Jacob talks about when he left Indian Special Forces and found himself in a house with some other guys who had also just left. Paraphrasing: 'We could do anything together, we could start a milk kart and it would be the best milk business'.
Who gives you that feeling?

I do love the first scent of 'that just might work' after a plan falls apart and I grab at ephemeral strands for anything to get back on the move.

There is an aspect of society that is like a Masquerade. And like any masquerade, it's nice to have a selection of masks to make and choose from. @abstractfairy.bsky.social and I are writing an article on this. What do you want to know about how masks can help you or others?

Working on making a thumb ring for my bow out of thermoplastic. First mistake was designing the ring for the second joint from the tip of the thumb, instead of the first joint.
