I actually have a lot of thoughts about this. I can‘t help but wonder what Del Toro’s Frankenstein would have looked like had he not made Shape Of Water, where I’d argue that he made points that are crucial to Frankenstein, and decided not to repeat himself, perhaps a bit detrimentally.
