I manage it by being interested and excited about birds, but completely unable to distinguish one species from another or remember what they are called. I think you can have the enjoyment without any particular skill, and this prevents development of too much weird behaviour

I think about this dynamic a lot. Much of the work I do, as a software engineer and as a mum and a gardener, could be described as 'maintenance', though you could also think of it as 'nurturing' or 'helping things to flourish'. We need to take more pride in this stuff

I was quite happy to move from Basic to the $7.99 ad plan, but my 2014 TV can't play the ads, so had to switch to the $18.99 plan
