Avid hunter of meaningless trinkets.
I get a lot of calls as a state worker that have an appeal to Trump at the end, which is always a fascinating journey.

I’d bet good money on a company named Weyland-Yutani being formed soon.

I don’t think the kind of person doing this is great at long term thinking, like an employee stealing a $500 bank drop and getting fired from their job.

What’s interesting is that while I’m sure it’s common, among my real life friends and close internet acquaintances, I only know one who admits being a regular user, makes me wonder if others aren’t admitting it because they don’t want to lose social standing or if I’ve just gotten a weird sample.

The ship of the future is probably a remote piloted drone carrier. The realities of war continue to suck.

That was my Big Blind power play.

I would fill each room with life sized statues of Pokémon, which is a good argument for why I personally shouldn’t be allowed to win the lottery.

I think my takeaway is that people, in the main, only listen to messaging that is telling them something they already know or believe. Which is an issue for incumbents when they can do everything to help people but they’re still a little sad/bored and vote to burn everything again.

How do you vote for this as a Democrat when Golden and Gluesenkamp-Perez voted no.

It’s for me, I made a monkey paw wish for a turkey sandwich, and it all kinda snowballed.

It would be really funny to become the first country with a permanent UBI because every time someone tries to stop the “temporary stimulus” voters throw a fit.

What’s really funny is a form email where I can fill in specific nouns and send it out would be about 80x more useful than an llm which always gives slight differences, and of course my employer locked down outlook apps for form emails and is trying to bring in AI.

Indeed it was. It’s all fun and games until you have to drive home.

My mother’s favorite jury story is about the guy who was in the double digits on DUI offenses. Always blows my mind that it was allowed to get that far.

Jerry Springer’s scandal seems so quaint now.
December 12, 2025 at 4:51 PM
I actually can see them trying a last ditch effort to stop court orders resolving the election in 2026 saying it’s up to the current Congress to accept the results. Not sure how that resolves, but I feel like it comes down to congressional procedure that Rs no longer have institutional knowledge of.

Trump seems like he’ll start running into bug zappers soon.

What the hell does he mean seeing a GP before a specialist? I didn’t realize we already had Medicare for All when I had to get referrals from my annual physical before I could get insurance to even start talking to me about a specialist visit.

The funniest part is Disney paying for it.

For a given value of normal person in the real world, normality probably pierces the veil of Twitter more than it would the French Court.

Rooting for him to be good enough that they can’t justify trying again at the QB lottery in the draft.
December 7, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Maybe we’ll get lucky and this is the first pardon a president attempts to revoke, giving us precedent to revoke Trump’s.
December 7, 2025 at 4:54 PM
I’m a little sad that it’ll probably never hit him entirely just how embarrassing it was for him.
