Some time back, a rep I spoke with told me that that lamp should have a 50w reflector. Modern ones that size use a 40w appliance bulb.
But after some digging apparently that specific model was supposed to have come with a 30w reflector. Maybe that's why it's acting a bit off.

Honestly hadn’t put much thought into it, but that’s not a bad idea.
Might give it a shot since I was a bit too quick between layers and made one of the skillets a bit sticky.
