Twenty years ago when I had a knee replacement, my husband rented a hospital bed for our home. I used it as a fortress by putting the bed in high position with the side rails up to keep our 80 lb Golden out of bed with me. Hysterical now, but then it was survival games. Heal quickly.

Congrats on your Penney! We adopted Gracie, your Penny’s near twin, 3 years ago after our third Golden passed away.

I’m still hearing “what ifs” from my husband three years later, but as you said we can’t always change things the way we like them to be.
We have their memory and the love that was shared.

I feel unique in getting joy out of simply watching the birds, rabbits, squirrels within my line of sight. Instead of unique, I will now consider myself honored.

I don’t live in PA, but supported Fetterman’s election with donations. I see negative changes in him as well and agree with resignation and Shapiro’s replacement of him.

Will the baby otters stay with you or be released once they become bigger and more independent? They are adorable!

We were blessed with a nest of Mourning Doves last year. We had three Mourning Dove families use the nest. We had work done on our house last fall and the nest was taken down.
This year we have a Robin family nesting in another spot.
