If I'm interested in voting for a political candidate who can help others, I would be more convinced seeing them help others than by a television ad that says they're going to help others, especially when that ad has been focus tested to death

Maybe I've missed you address this earlier, but isn't it possible that people who are aware of a campaign's mutual aid actions may be positively persuaded, even if they don't directly benefit?
