Microsoft mimics Nintendo with outrageous DMCA claims is the enshittification both companies are now guilty of.

These companies are killing indie projects and therefore freedom of game design itself.

Just because you're a big company doesn't give you the right to push Hytale or Allumeria away.

Allumeria is a game that has so much promise. It's very distinct from Minecraft, despite what you may initially think, so it does not deserve this at all. Please do what you can to spread the word on this, and go play the demo when (and if) it goes back up on Steam.

I recently pushed a new update to Allumeria with a forest dungeon redesign. The original dungeon was implemented 8 months ago and the game has evolved a lot since then, so i wanted to take advantage of all the new stuff. #gamedev #indiedev

Allumeria is most certainly its own game, and it both looks and plays differently - plain and simple. It doesn't sound like a claim will hold up at all to a counter-notification.

even if this is overturned, it is ridiculous that corporations get to play with the livelihood of small creators. they do not care that our years of blood, sweat, and tears can be erased by a false flag -- all so they can "protect" one of the most well known franchises of all time

allumeria is one of the most promising projects i’ve seen in a very long time. there is so much passion and care put into every aspect, and to see this being thrown at them is incredibly frustrating. please show your support where you can as they navigate through this

Recently Mojang (Microsoft) has issued a DMCA claim with the game “Allumeria” with the statement that the game looks similar to Minecraft when that isn’t the case at all.

A clear abuse of the copyright system to take down projects that are Minecraft-like.

Hey everyone. The Allumeria Steam page is currently down because Microsoft has filed a false DMCA claim on it. They sent an email earlier today claiming that this screenshot infringes on their copyright. I am taking a moment to figure out what my path is going forward, will update soon. #gamedev
