If you are lucky enough to get a blue skies day in ~ ballpark last 10 days of Oct - first 10 days of November,
...Bliss 😊

[ ...that is, once you've taken out a mortgage to pay entry ]

Still annoyed about this,
passed through Melrose on a beautiful august day a couple of years back, caught the abbey & museum & trimontium site
...didn't have time to also climb Eildon Hill

and i look back now like... when am I possibly going to find a day as beautiful as that to see it?!?
fuming 😡😡

A short way further but was losing the light & just had a chance to catch the section at Watling lodge before heading back to Glasgow for the night
anyway - it was a very special couple of days, been nice to finally share it!

After a while of walking along a canal (or what i assume is a canal?) the bank of the wall becomes more visible again - just outside Bonnybridge

After a coffee stop in Cumbernauld, the next stretch was quite a lot of walking, with not a lot to see in the landscape - the ditch & bank was just about visible in parts, but the Castlecary fort site is essentially an empty field
