Yup. I'm a 15 min walk from the stadium, but they've even closed the roads for pedestrians 🤦♀️ Anyway, here's my current view:

This is where I live. Literally every road south is closed (99% of my journeys go south). Diversion signs in place means tomorrow they'll also block the easiest route north that I have to use to go south. Gotta love living near a stadium. Over 3 weeks of this for just 6 matches

Yeah, not looking forward to that to be honest. But I do have actual proper winter clothes after my trip to Kashmir last year

Thoroughly enjoyed the final group match, scoreline makes it appear easier than it was. Reigan Heskey (son of Emile) has been the stand-out player so far

Got to Abu Dhabi airport super early, so I can watch the match without added stress of getting through security etc. Advantage is that, like Doha, there are very few flights this time of day so have the rooftop lounge to myself!

Merry Xmas! I spent Xmas Day fulfilling a lifelong ambition to see a real blue whale! Ever since my dad took me to the Natural History museum in London & I saw the size of it, I wanted to see one (just as watching Jaws sparked my love of sharks)
