Migrant from another place.

Familiar songs sung in other languages, suggestions more than welcome!

Now with more than 3000 scrollable foreign covers archived from that aforementioned other place, most of which have links that still work.
You may not believe this but I OWN THIS RECORD and also the Yves Mourousi French dub too!

John Peel actually played this German version on his programme when it went to number one!

Cheers for that!! Actually originally posted it nearly 14 years ago at the bad place but stupidly used a bit.ly link which is of course stone dead at this moment in time!

Thanks for resurrecting!

Will keep an eye out for this disc next time I'm at a local second-hand music emporium... it contains a Spanish-language take on The Blue Nile's "Tinsel Town In The Rain" but has somehow not been uploaded to YouTube, Spotify or Bandcamp.

The @foreigncovers "Scrooge of Christmas 2022" award goes to whoever blocked Pavel Bobek's Czech version of Bing Crosby's "Mele Kilikimaka" on YouTube AND on Spotify.

Lest we forget.

Eleven years of @foreigncovers, which is a fair few songs.

Remember to scroll back!

But not necessarily in that order.

Other than the obvious but still splendid work of Peter Solowka's Ukrainians (Peel Sessions, Smiths covers), does anyone out there know of any Ukrainian cover versions of well known English-language hits?

No, seriously

Impressed that @rideox4 were able to produce a grammatically perfect Finnish-language rendition of Little Jimmy Osmond's chart-topping 1972 hit "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool" in their formative years
